Jazzy Westinghouse is a British born contemporary oil painter living on the Suffolk coast. She spent her childhood living in both Asia and America, which significantly influenced her painterly style.
As a young child growing up in the tropics, Westinghouse had many pets including a Kookaburra, it was this beloved and characterful bird that started her love affair with birds and nature.
Other early influences include Ken Done, Paul Gaugin and Peter Doig. Westinghouse also spent time in Florence with her grandfather, learning about the old masters and their unrivalled techniques. Her paintings of birds on ceramic pots share a similar formal awareness and technical sensitivity.
Education - Chelsea college of art and design
