Meet the Artists of Shain Gallery's October Exhibition

We are excited to present our upcoming exhibition opening Friday, October 24th, featuring five remarkable artists: Katie Brown, Caroline Creson, Ginny Worsley, Sally Bunting, and Emma Carr.
Each artist brings a distinct voice, offering a dynamic view of contemporary art in the Southeast.

This exhibition celebrates creativity, connection, and craftsmanship - from vibrant and layered florals to whimsical interiors and unique cutouts. The show features five unique perspectives that capture the spirit of artistic storytelling.

Artist Spotlight:  Katie Brown

Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Katie Brown is known for her bright color palettes and lively compositions that radiate joy. Her floral and still life paintings feature bold brushwork and confident color contrasts that capture viewers from across a room.

Working from her home studio, Katie balances her creative practice with life as a mother of two young children. Each painting reflects her ability to find beauty in the every day.

Her pieces feel both modern and timeless, joyful explorations of color and form that celebrate creativity.

Artist Spotlight: Caroline Creson

Caroline Creson, a Nashville based artist, brings sophistication to organic forms and natural motifs through her work. Her paintings are defined by confident brushstrokes, bold lines, and a recognizable color palette.

Caroline took a hiatus from painting to pursue a career as an attorney, but has since returned to being a full time artist. She lives with her husband and two children.

Creson's palette of soft greens, blush tones, and neutrals evoke feelings of peace. Her process combines precision and spontaneity, blending clean lines with soft botanicals and intuitive mark making.

Artist Spotlight: Ginny Worsley

An image of Ginny Worsley, an artist with blonde hair, adjusting her still life painting of a charming interior scene on a wall.

Ginny Worsley paints interiors that feel both intimate and full of life. Her works brim with character - a floral wallpaper, a well loved table, a glowing window - each detail capturing the warmth of daily life. She embraces a whimsical, illustrative approach to painting that is uniquely hers.

Home has always held a special place for Ginny. It’s where memories are made, traditions kept, and time spent with family and friends. Her whimsical compositions invite viewers to reflect on the comfort of familiar spaces and the stories hidden within them - paintings that feel like home. Her interior scenes are meant to evoke feelings of nostalgia and simpler times.

Artist Spotlight: Sally Bunting

Sally Buntingbased in Greenville, South Carolina, is known for her vibrant and expressive works on paper and distinctive cutout series. Working largely with oil stick, she merges color, movement, and form to create pieces that stand out.

Her technique creates depth and emotion, drawing viewers in with compositions that are both dynamic and harmonious.
